LONG-TIME KISS FAN JENNIFER GREGORY WINS "NAME THE KING OF ALL BEAST CONTEST"
PAUL STANLEY and GENE SIMMONS PERSONALLY PICK HER ENTRY
KING OF ALL BEAST WILL NOW BE CALLED CHIKARA
When long-time KISS fan, Jennifer Gregory, read the email from Platinum Studios and the KISS Comics Group stating that she had won the contest to name the KISS 4K character, King of All Beasts, her co-workers were looking at her very strangely. It was probably because Jennifer was screaming loudly at her computer.
Jennifer thought that the title to the 1988 Japanese limited edition compilation album would make a great comic book character name. "I knew that Chikara meant power and I thought that making that the name of one of the KISS 4K characters made sense," said Ms. Gregory.
In winning the contest, in which Gene and Paul personally picked their favorite entry, Jennifer received a KISS 4K: LEGENDS NEVER DIE - DESTROYER EDITION signed by Gene and Paul. She says that it is now framed and hangs in her KISS memorabilia room in her home in Martinsville, Virgina next to her favorite KISS item, her KISS pinball machine.
Smitten with KISS as a teenager, she is still going to KISS shows today and attending KISS events whenever possible. She plans to attend Paul's art show next month in Charlotte, North Carolina and she is going to the KISS Coffeehouse in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in June to celebrate the KISS Coffeehouse's first anniversary. Last year, she attended the opening of the KISS Coffeehouse, where she met Gene and Paul and attended a KISS fragrance promotion event in Raleigh, North Carolina.
While not a die hard comic book fan, Jennifer read KISS 4K: LEGENDS NEVER DIE the moment she opened it. "It is the best of the KISS comics and I can't wait to read the other issues," said Ms. Gregory.
